Damon Pesce
Marketing Manager
Raised on the South shore of Long Island, NY, Damon spent his childhood days hunting, fishing and
boating. After graduating from SUNY Plattsburg with a BA in Political Science and a minor in
Environmental Science, Damon relocated to CO where he became a producer for United Healthcare for
several years. After his stint at United, Damon transitioned into a sales and marketing role
managing broker relationships. Eventually finding his way back to coastal New England, Damon now
resides in East Haddam, CT with his wife and son.

Mary Waddleton
Yacht Underwriter Mary started her insurance career over 25 years ago at The Hartford. In 1986
Mary decided to take a hiatus and sail off on her 30' Lippincott to cruise the eastern sea board
and the Bahamas. Her adventure lasted two years which lead to her new career working as a first mate
aboard private sailing and power yachts in the Caribbean. She finally came ashore to raise her now
15 year old son and returned to her Connecticut roots. This brought her back into the insurance
industry as a sales producer for yacht insurance. She recently joined MGA and continues to be an avid
boater while enjoying many coastal sporting activities associated with living in her seaside cottage
on Niantic Bay.

Mallory Hart
Underwriter Assistant
Mallory is one of the newest members of Maritime General. After attending Middlesex Community College, Mallory found
her place as a crew member of the commercial underwriting team. A native to the world of boating, Mallory grew up
on the shoreline of CT, where her life has revolved around the beach. Mallory currently resides in Clinton, CT,
where she enjoys spending time on "My Hart", her family yacht, and relaxing at the beach with her friends.

Michael Terrier
Yacht Underwriter Michael has been involved in the insurance and investment industries since
1988 working on the agency side as an agent, broker and financial advisor before moving to his
current underwriting role. He is currently licensed for Property & Casualty, Life, Health, and
Variable Insurance product lines. Michael has earned the Certified Financial Manager and Life
Underwriting Training Council Fellowship designations. He has spent his entire life on the waters
of the Connecticut shoreline and is a USCG Licensed Master Captain. As a charterboat and delivery
Captain, he has logged well over a thousand days at sea and has travelled extensively. He currently
owns a 35' Terry Jason custom downeast powerboat.

Andrea Ward
Yacht Underwriter Andrea Ward joined MGA’s yacht department as an Underwriting Assistant.
Andrea comes to us with over 10 years of paralegal experience, with a concentration in business law
and environmental litigation, in both private practice and publicly traded corporations. Andrea has
a Bachelor’s degree in political science and has completed many career-related continuing education
courses. Andrea currently resides in Guilford, CT.

Christopher J. McKinnon
Yacht Underwriter Chris began his love for the ocean at a young age, spending his summers at the Jersey Shore surfing, boating, and
crabbing. After moving to CT, Chris continued to boat and surf, even traveling to Costa Rica during school breaks in search of the perfect wave. Chris worked at the Newport Yachting Center while attending The
University of Rhode Island. After graduating with a BA in Business Communication, Chris spent three years traveling the
eastern seaboard as the first mate aboard two motor yachts. Chris then returned to CT and worked on the
commercial side of the boating industry aboard a tugboat. He has since been working out of the water in
the insurance industry as a Yacht Underwriter for a regional boat insurance market. When not at work, Chris enjoys spending
time with his fiancé and two dogs in Guilford, CT.
